Ainsworth Post Doncaster Rovers

Wycombe Wanderers pulled off another stunning comeback to claim an unlikely victory over play-off chasing Doncaster Rovers.

Coming into the game, the Chairboys had scored the most amount of goals in the final 15 minutes of EFL1 matches so far this season and they added three more to that tally with a magnificent turnaround from two goals down.

The frustrated Doncaster manager Grant McCann called his team “arrogant” for allowing the points to slip away whilst a relieved Gareth Ainsworth spoke to me live on BBC Three Counties Radio. Here is what he had to say:

Doncaster Rovers 3-0 Wycombe Wanderers

Three second half goals from Doncaster Rovers were enough to see off Wycombe Wanderers at the Keepmoat Stadium. The defeat was the first loss on the road in 2018 for the Chairboys and after the game I spoke with Gareth Ainsworth for BBC Three Counties Radio:

“We never lose. We either win or we learn.”

Ainsworth pre Doncaster Rovers

Wycombe Wanderers travel to Doncaster Rovers having not been beaten on the road since 22nd December 2017. Ahead of the trip (and the signing of Jason McCarthy!), I spoke with Gareth at the training ground:
