Wycombe Wanderers came out on top of an excellent encounter against Rochdale to make it a two wins in a week at Adams Park.
A long range Bryn Morris free-kick deceived Brendan Moore in the Dale goal to give the Chairboys the lead on ten minutes and the home side were on top for the rest of the half.
Rochdale were much improved after the break and dominated possession but the Wanderers defended resolutely and scored again themselves with a trademark goal from Adebayo Akinfenwa on 66 minutes.
With the pressure lifted, Wycombe kept pressing and Fred Onyedinma powered home a header on 72 minutes for his second goal in as many games to complete the scoring.
A third home win on the spin and a clean sheet against an attack minded Rochdale, who had scored in their previous 13 away games, gives the Wanderers a spring in their step as they head to Walsall in EFL1 this Saturday.
