Wycombe Wanderers 3-2 Scunthorpe United

Wycombe Wanderers fought back from 2-0 down against Scunthorpe United to win their second successive home game in EFL1.

The Chairboys were facing a mountain to climb after just seven minutes as The Iron waltzed into a two goal lead but goals from Dominic Gape and Fred Onyedinma set the game up for a thrilling conclusion.

A home victory had looked unlikely after Chairboys goalkeeper Ryan Allsop was shown a straight red card for scything down Ike Ugbo, a foul which the referee judged to be denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. However, the experienced Wanderers striker Craig Mackail-Smith capitalised on a defensive error by The Iron’s skipper Rory McArdle to calmly take all three points in injury time.
