Mr Wycombe extends contract at Adams Park

December 28th, 2003 – Tony Blair was Prime Minister and ‘Leave Right Now’ by Will Young was number one in the charts. Wycombe Wanderers lost to Rushden & Diamonds at Adams Park on that day too, with Matt Bloomfield making his debut for the Chairboys, all under the watchful eye of Tony Adams.

14 and a half years, 474 appearances and 36 goals later, Blooms has just signed a new two year deal with the Chairboys. I caught up with him at the training ground ahead of the vital clash at Chesterfield:
